My average running pulse over 30 minutes is 173. Can I really be in the anaerobic zone for so long?

I am 30 years old and have recently started running. I am training for a half-marathon (with a goal of 2:00 hours). My focus is on getting better endurance. “Everyone” says that to get better endurance, your pulse should be in the aerobic zone, which would seem to be below 150-160 for me (guesstimating (more…)
